It is worth noting that after the increase of 11 percent, the DA of the employees will be 28 percent. About 16 lakh state employees and 12 lakh pensioners of the state will get its benefit. The increased DA for August will be paid along with the salary of September.

For a long time, state employees salary and pensioners are waiting for their pension to increase. At present, DA is being paid to the employees at the rate of 17 percent. After the increase of 11 percent, the DA of the employees will be 28 percent. The state government is also on the lines of the central government.

Due to the corona infection, the state government had issued a mandate on April 24 last year on the payment of dearness allowance to state employees and teachers and dearness relief to pensioners at an increased rate from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, on the lines of the Centre. Due to this, the additional installments of DA and dearness relief to the state employees and pensioners on January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021 have not been paid.

Last month, with the removal of the ban on payment of DA-DR at an increased rate, the Central Government has issued an order to pay DA to the central employees at the rate of 28 percent from July. On this basis, state employees are also waiting to get DA at the rate of 28 per cent from July 1. Now on Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has approved the proposal of the Finance Department.
