Good News For Passengers! Vande Bharat Trains to Get Additional Coaches on This Routes, Check route & More

Indian Railways: Indian Railways has given a big relief to the passengers traveling in Vande Bharat train. Now these high-speed trains will have more seats than ever before.

A study conducted by the Railway Board till 31 July 2025 revealed that the popularity of Vande Bharat trains has increased rapidly and trains are running full on most routes. In view of this, the Railways has decided to increase the number of coaches in many Vande Bharat trains, which will give passengers ease in ticket booking and more convenience in travel.

What is the new plan of Railways?

  • 3 Vande Bharat trains will be increased from 16 coaches to 20 coaches.
  • 4 Vande Bharat trains will be increased from 8 coaches to 16 coaches.

With this decision, passengers will get more seats and old coaches will be used to start Vande Bharat trains on new routes.

The number of coaches will increase on these routes:

Chennai Egmore–Tirunelveli 16 20

Indore–Nagpur 8 16

Passengers will get these benefits:

  1. More seats: More coaches mean more passengers can travel.
  2. Relief from waiting tickets: With increased availability of seats, the chances of getting a confirmed ticket will be higher.
  3. Comfortable travel: More space and less crowd, making travel more convenient.
  4. New trains on new routes: Vande Bharat service will start on new routes with the vacant coaches.
