The minimum basic salary was increased from Rs.6,000 to Rs.18,000. At present the minimum basic salary is Rs.18000 and the maximum basic salary is Rs.56900.

For central employees (7th Pay Commission Central Government employees), the month of July can be a gift. Amidst the discussions about the new dearness allowance, there is news that the Modi government may soon increase the fitment factor of the employees, after which the basic salary will be directly 26000. While giving relief on the same 18 months pending DA arrears, the government can pay it in a lump sum. With this, arrears from 11 thousand to 2.18 lakh can be deposited in the account of the employees.

According to media reports, in July, the Modi government at the Center can increase the fitment factor from 2.67 percent to 3.68 percent, fulfilling the demand of the employees. This will increase the basic salary of 52 lakh employees by 8000. For example, if the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000, then his salary excluding allowances will be Rs 18,000 X 2.57 = profit of Rs 46,260. On 3.68, the salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000 X 3.68 = 95,680) i.e. in salary 49,420 will be available. If it is increased to 3 then the basic salary will be Rs 21000.

Let us tell you that the fitment factor is considered to be an important role in the salary of central employees. The pay matrix made in the 7th Pay Commission is based on the fitment factor. Due to this factor, there is an increase of more than two and a half times in the salary of central employees, in such a situation, if the fitment factor is 3.68 percent, then the basic salary will be 26000. Earlier in 2016 the fitment factor was increased and the minimum basic salary was increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 18,000. At present the minimum basic salary is Rs 18000 and the maximum basic salary is Rs 56900.

DA ARREARS can also be decided

Apart from this, relief can also be given soon on the outstanding 18 months DA arrears from January 2020 to June 2021. A big meeting of the Joint Consultative Mechanism (JCM) can be held soon in this regard with the officials of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Personnel and Training and Department of Expenditure and a final decision can be taken on it. Here, the council has also made a demand in front of the government that while restoring the DA, the pending DA arrears should be done one time settlement for 18 months or else the government can pay the amount of arrears in three-four installments. .

According to media reports, if the government pays the DA arrears, then 1 crore employees and pensioners will get the benefit of more than 2 lakhs. Under this, DA arrears of Level-1 employees will range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554, Level 13 to Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900 and Level 14 employees will get arrears of Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200. More than 48 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners are sure to get its benefit. However, no official confirmation has been made by the government yet..
