7th Pay Commission Latest News: A decision is going to be taken soon on DA Hike of central employees. Dearness Allowance is going to increase again from January 2023. It is expected that a decision on this will be taken by the government before Holi. DA hike is expected to be approved in the cabinet meeting to be held on March 1. If this happens, the employees will be given the increased dearness allowance along with arrears in March salary. It is clear from the figures of AICPI index till December that this time dearness allowance will increase by 4 percent.

One crore employees and pensioners will be benefited

Due to increase in dearness allowance by 4 percent, there will be a good increase in the salary of the employees. At present the dearness allowance is 38%, which is expected to increase to 42%. The new DA will be calculated on the basis of the increase in dearness allowance in January. This time a good growth is being seen in it. About one crore employees and pensioners of the Central Government will be benefited by this. From July to December, the highest figure of AICPI index has been at 132.5 points. On the basis of which 4 percent increase in DA is believed to be fixed.

DA will be Rs 90,720

At present, DA is paid to central employees at the rate of 38%. If there is an increase of 4% in this, then it will increase to 42%. After this, the annual dearness allowance of those with a basic salary of Rs 18,000 will increase to Rs 90,720. Talking about the difference from the current dearness allowance, the salary will increase by Rs 720 every month and Rs 8640 annually.

Calculation on minimum basic salary

1. Basic salary of the employee – Rs 18,000
2. New Dearness Allowance (42%) – Rs 7560 per month
3. New Dearness Allowance (42%) – Rs 90,720 per annum
4. Dearness Allowance till now (38%) – Rs 6840 per month
5. How much dearness allowance increased – 7560-6840 = Rs 720 per month
6. Increase in annual salary – 720X12= Rs 8,640

Calculation on maximum basic salary

1. Basic salary of the employee – Rs 56,900
2. New Dearness Allowance (42%) – Rs 23,898 per month
3. New Dearness Allowance (42%) – Rs 286,776 per annum
4. Dearness Allowance till now (38%) – Rs 21622 per month
5. How much dearness allowance increased – 23898-21622= Rs 2276 per month
6. Increase in annual salary – 2276 X12 = Rs 27,312
