New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission: Central employees can once again get a big gift. The government is thinking of increasing one more allowance along with DA. If the government does this, then surely the salary will increase significantly.

According to reports, the government can increase HRA along with increasing DA. Actually, DA is expected to increase once again, which can increase to 38 to 39 percent. At the same time, with the increase in DA, HRA is also expected to increase.

DA may increase from 5 to 6%:

Central employees and pensioners are waiting for the hike in DA. Actually, the government increases DA twice a year. DA increases as per AICPI figures. If the AICPI figures remain higher than the month of March, then an increase of 5 to 6% in DA can be announced.

Expected increase in HRA:

Along with DA, HRA is also expected to increase. Earlier, the house rent allowance was increased in July last year. Then the government increased the DA to 28%. Now that the DA is about to be close to 40 percent, then the amendment in HRA is also believed to be certain.

HRA can increase by this:

The HRA of the employee is determined by the category of the city where he works. According to media reports, HRA to government employees living or working in X category cities is likely to increase by 4 to 5% just like DA. At present, the employees of these cities get HRA of 27% of the basic salary. The HRA for the same y category is possible to increase by two per cent. At present, these employees get 18 to 20 percent HRA. The same HRA can be increased by 1 percent for Z category cities, they are currently given HRA at the rate of 9 to 10 percent.

How is house rent allowance determined?

Actually, the city whose population is more than 50 lakhs comes under X category. Those whose population is more than 5 lakhs, they come in Y category. The city whose population is less than 5 lakhs comes under the city Z category. The minimum hra for all three categories will be 5400, 3600 and 1800.
