In Rajasthan, 37 works, from getting a driving license to renewing the vehicle registration certificate (RC), can now be done online from home. For this, neither will you have to visit the RTO nor will you have to pay money to any agent. Driving license will be made for only Rs 200 and NOC will be available free of cost. For other services, only the fixed fee will have to be paid.
New online platform of Transport Department in Rajasthan
Like other departments, the Transport Department has prepared an online platform. These services can be availed through smartphone, computer, laptop or e-mitra. The trial of this system in Jaipur RTO has been successful and soon it will be implemented in the entire state.
Which tasks will be done online?
37 works of Jaipur RTO have been made online. These include services like vehicle transfer, NOC, duplicate RC, registration renewal, address change, RC cancellation, permit application, tax clearance certificate, hypothecation termination and addition. For 22 works like vehicle fitness certificate, vehicle modification, the vehicle owner will have to come to the RTO office.
Apply for driving license from these three websites
Online application can be done from parivahan.gov.in, vahan.parivahan.gov.in and sarthiparivahan.com websites. Driving license related services can be availed from Sarathi portal.
This is how you can apply online
To apply, go to parivahan.gov.in and select the service in online services, enter the vehicle number and chassis number, upload the documents, pay the prescribed fee and download the certificate. A help desk has been set up in Jaipur RTO, where more than 100 people are learning the online process every day. The department will also soon provide promotional material.
People think it will save time, RTO said- approved in 7 days
Regarding this new system, Jaipur RTO Rajendra Singh says that once the documents and fees are complete, the application will be approved in seven days. People from other districts will also be able to apply online without an agent. Soon this system will be implemented in the entire state.
