Good news! Yogi government gave lifelong happiness to these workers, know who got the benefit

About one lakh people of Meerut’s Cantt area can get up to five percent exemption in house and water tax. After about six years, after starting the Cantonment Portal, the Meerut Cantt Board has issued a proposal for a relaxation of up to five percent.

Till now there was a system of exemption of up to two percent in house tax. There was no exemption in water tax. Now on the orders of the Central Government, Cantt Board CEO Navendranath has issued a notice of five percent relaxation. Suggestions have been sought from the public on this. The only condition is that the people of the area will have to pay the bill through the cantonment portal.

This is the system

Under the arrangement of the year 2015 in Meerut Cantt Board, there is a provision to charge 14 percent house tax and 7.5 percent water tax on the annual proportionate value (ARV) of the property of the cantonment area. There is a provision of two percent rebate on payment of house tax on time. There is no provision for any exemption in water tax. CEO Navendranath has said that if anyone has any objection or suggestion on the revised proposal, then give it in a week. Will not be considered after one week.

This is the condition

House Tax: Now the Cantonment Board has issued a proposal for amendment under Section-71 of the Cantonment Act, 2006. Under the amendment, if a person residing in the cantonment area pays the house tax from the e-Chhawani portal within 30 days, then a rebate of five percent will be given. If the payment is made through the Cantonment Portal till March 31, the last date of the financial year, then only two percent discount will be given.

Water Tax: Like house tax, a rebate of five percent will be given on payment from the cantonment portal within 30 days and two percent if done by March 31.
