Oyo rooms salary cut: Within four months, Oyo Rooms withdrew the salary cut decision. The company has announced full salary from August 1. On April 22, the company announced to send some of its employees to India on leave without pay from May 4.

Hospitality firm OYO said on Tuesday that Corona was withdrawing its decision to cut salary of its employees and send them on unpaid leave (LWP) amid the crisis. The firm announced full pay to its regular employees in India and South Asia from August 1. The company had taken steps like reducing the salary of employees or sending them on leave without pay due to the Kovid-19 crisis.



The decision was implemented from May 4
, a company spokesperson said that the salary deduction for employees with an annual income of up to eight lakh rupees is being withdrawn from August 1. The rest of the employees’ salary cuts will also be withdrawn in a phased manner from October 2020. On 22 April, the company announced to send some of its employees to India on leave without pay from 4 May. He was sent on leave for four months. At the same time, it was also asked for 25 percent reduction in the salary of all employees in April-July 2020.

Employees said that 12.5 percent of the 25 percent pay cut will start from October, while the remaining 12.5 percent will start from December 2020. The company’s India and South Asia business CEO Rohit Kapoor made the announcement in a townhall meeting with employees. No less than Rs 5 lakh in salary was deducted. Kapoor has appealed to his employees to work continuously with the hotel. We are moving forward with your help. Our effort should be to take the business to pre-covid level. When the company decided to cut salary, it was said that there will be no deduction in the salary of those whose salary is less than 5 lakhs. This did not affect the lower level employees of the company.
