After a day’s rise, gold prices have fallen again. The price of 24 carat gold in the capital Delhi has remained at Rs 121620 per 10 grams on the morning of 31 October. The US central bank Federal Reserve has cut its key interest rate by 0.25 percent. But Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has indicated that there is no possibility of further easing of policy rates in the near future. This is because of the lack of new economic data amid the ongoing US government shutdown.
As for US-China trade, US President Donald Trump has reduced tariffs on China by 10 percent. The rate has now dropped from 57 percent to 47 percent.
