After reaching above one lakh, the price of gold and silver continues to fall. After record-breaking rise in February, March and April, the condition of gold is deteriorating in May. 24 carat gold has become cheaper by Rs 220 per 10 grams today on 5 May. Today, 24 carat gold opened at the rate of Rs 93734 per 10 grams in bullion markets. Whereas, silver became cheaper by Rs 407 and opened at Rs 93718 per kg. The price of gold including GST is now Rs 96546 per 10 grams. Whereas, the price of silver is Rs 96529 per kg.
Let us tell you that the rates of bullion market have been released by India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), in which GST has not been imposed. It is possible that in your city there is a difference of Rs 1000 to 2000. IBJA releases the rate twice a day. Once around 12 noon and the second around 5 pm.
Price fell from all-time high
On 22 April 2025, gold was at Rs 99100 per 10 grams. This is the highest price of gold without GST. Gold has become cheaper by Rs 5366 from this all-time high so far. Let us tell you that on 31 December 24, gold opened at a rate of Rs 76045 per 10 and silver at Rs 85680 per kg. On this day gold closed at Rs 75740. Silver also closed at Rs 86017 per kg. On January 31, 2025, gold was at Rs 82165 per 10 grams. This year gold has become costlier by about Rs 18000 and silver by Rs 7700.
Latest rates of 14 to 23 carat gold
According to IBJA rates, 23 carat gold also opened today at Rs 93359 per 10 grams, becoming cheaper by Rs 219. At the same time, the average spot price of 22 carat gold fell by Rs 202 to Rs 85860 at around 12.15 pm. The price of 18 carat gold has also become cheaper by Rs 165 and has come down to Rs 70301 per 10 grams. Whereas, the price of 14 carat gold has fallen by Rs 129 to Rs 54834.
