Free Ration : Government give free ration to this ration card holders, know how to get this card

Free Ration : The government is running Antyodaya Anna Yojana for the families living below the poverty line. Under this scheme, every month a family is given 35 kg of grains at a subsidized rate. Sugar is also given along with wheat or rice. Wheat is given at Rs 2 per kg and rice at Rs 3 per kg. Sugar is available at a price Rs 18 less than the market rate.


The benefit of Antyodaya Anna Yojana is available only to those families who have Antyodaya Ration Card. The color of this ration card is pink. At present, about 1.89 crore families in the country have Antyodaya ration card. The government has now announced to extend the cheap sugar given under the Atyodaya scheme for two more years.

Antyodaya Anna Ration Card is issued to the very poor people of the country who do not have any permanent source of earning. Antyodaya food ration card is also available for disabled people.

Landless, agricultural labourers, marginal farmers, garbage collectors, rickshaw pullers and people living in slums generally get the benefits of Antyodaya Anna Yojana. Widows or persons above 60 years of age who do not have any source of income are also entitled to this ration card.

The person applying for Antyodaya Ration Card should not have a permanent house and his annual income should not be more than Rs 20 thousand. He should not have previously made any ration card.

To get Antyodaya Ration Card, Aadhar Card, passport size photograph, residence certificate, income certificate and mobile number are required.

Application for Antyodaya Ration Card can be made online and offline. For offline application, application form has to be taken from the food supply department of the state. After filling the form and attaching the necessary documents with it, it has to be submitted to the department.

Now most of the states of the country also provide the facility of online application for making ration card. For example, in Haryana, one can apply for ration card by visiting the website https://saralharyana.gov.in/.

Application can be made on this website only through Family ID. No separate form has to be filled for Antyodaya Ration Card. Ration card is made on the basis of annual income recorded in the family ID; If the applicant fulfills the conditions of Antyodaya Ration Card, then the government issues him that ration card.
https://saralharyana.gov.in/ After entering the family ID, one has to enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number. After this, necessary information has to be entered in a given form and necessary documents have to be uploaded.
