This information has been given by tweeting from Srinagar Airport. Srinagar airport tweeted, “Due to continuous bad weather, all flights have been canceled for today. Passengers of canceled flights will be given a seat on the next available flight by the respective airlines at no extra cost.

Snowing since morning
It may be known that the fresh snowfall in the Kashmir Valley started on Friday morning. Where there was moderate to heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, there was light to moderate snowfall in the plains. Srinagar Airport Director Kuldeep Singh said, “Due to continuous snowfall and low visibility, flight operations at Srinagar airport have been suspended till further orders.” He said flights operated in the morning but had to be suspended after 10 am due to low visibility and snowfall.
Jammu-Srinagar highway closed
Officials said that due to bad weather, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (Jammu Srinagar National Highway Update) , the only all-weather road connecting the valley with the rest of the country, has been closed for traffic. He said traffic on the highway has been closed due to landslides and slippery road conditions in Meher area. Officials said that the work of clearing the roads is going on but due to continuous snowfall and rains, it is facing difficulty.
