South Korea and Czechia got several chances to score early in the match, but both teams failed to capitalize on them. In the 9th minute, South Korea had a great chance to take the lead from a free kick, but the Czech defense thwarted their hopes. In the 11th minute, South Korea also failed to capitalize on a corner. Korea put a lot of pressure on the Czech defense in the first half, but failed to penetrate their defense.

Both teams failed to score a single goal in the first half. However, Czechia started the second half aggressively and found success in the 59th minute. Ladislav Krejčí scored a brilliant header to give the team a 1-0 lead. However, after trailing 0-1, South Korea made a remarkable comeback.
