Fearful of Taiwan attacking China, scared ‘dragon’ deploys missiles in coastal areas

China is seeking to strengthen its military capability on its southeast coast. China is afraid that Taiwan may attack it. Military observers and sources have given information about this. Controversy between China and Taiwan has increased in recent times. 

The People’s Liberation Army is busy upgrading its missile base. A military source based in Beijing said that China has deployed its most sophisticated hypersonic missile DF-17 on the southeast coast. 




On condition of anonymity of the 2500 km range missile deployed , the source said that the DF-17 hypersonic missile would gradually replace the DF-11 and DF-15 missiles deployed in the southeast region for decades. He explained that the range of this new missile is greater and it is capable of penetrating targets more accurately.

DA-17 hypersonic missile has a range of 2500 km. The missile was brought to the world on October 1 last year during the National Day Parade, marking 70 years of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Beijing considers Taiwan as its separate province, which it has vowed to withdraw if needed. Relations between Beijing and Taipei have worsened since Tsai Ing-wen was elected president of the Democratic Progressive Party in 2016 and refused to accept the One-China Doctrine.
