Fastag KYC deadline extended: NHAI has extended the deadline for updating Fastag KYC. Earlier this deadline was January 31, 2024.
Fastag KYC new deadline: There is big news for Fastag users. If you have not yet updated the KYC of your Fastag, then you have got more time. National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has extended the deadline for updating Fastag KYC. Now users can update KYC for their Fastag till February 29, 2024. Earlier this deadline was 31 January 2024. If you do not update your Fastag KYC by the new deadline of 29th February, your Fastag will be deactivated from 1st March. In such a situation you will have to pay double toll tax.
Update your Fastag KYC in this way
- For Fastag KYC visit the website https://fastag.ihmcl.com.
- Log in here by entering your registered mobile number and password.
- If you do not remember the password, click on Get OTP and enter the OTP.
- Now go to My Profile section from the Dashboard menu. Here you will see the status of your KYC.
- If KYC is not updated, go to ‘KYC’ sub section. Select your customer type here.
- Now submit ID proof and address proof and fill the required details.
- Also upload passport size photo. Now tick the declaration and submit it.

How to check Fastag status?
- You can check Fastag status by visiting fastag.ihmcl.com.
- When the web page opens, you will have to click on the login tab at the top right part of the website.
- To log in, you will have to provide the registered mobile number for OTP.
- After logging in, click on My Profile section on the dashboard.
- In the My Profile section, you will also find the KYC status of your FASTag and the profile details submitted during the registration process.
- You can also do this from your bank’s website.

Vehicle Registration Certificate
- ID Proof
- Address proof
- One passport size photo
- Passport, Voter ID card, Aadhar card, driving license or PAN card can be used for ID and address proof.
