Farmers Protest: The form of agitation will change every day, today hunger strike of farmers

This hunger strike is part of the farmers’ plan to intensify the movement from today.

Kisan Andolan: The heads of all the farmers’ unions that have been demonstrating at various borders of Delhi for more than two weeks against the new agricultural laws of the center, have announced to be on a day’s hunger strike today. . This hunger strike, to be held from 8 am to 5 pm, is a part of the farmers’ plan to intensify the agitation from today.

Hunger strike

Farmer leaders will undertake hunger strike at their respective places. Earlier, farmers leaders had announced an indefinite hunger strike from December 19, but now it has been decided to cancel it and stay on a day hunger strike.

Farmer leaders again said that their position is clear that all three agricultural laws should be abolished. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that if the government proposes another dialogue, then our committee will consider it. We appeal to everyone to maintain peace during the protest.

The farmers, who were protesting against the agricultural laws, remained frozen on all the borders from Delhi for the 19th consecutive day.

Closed Agra and Jaipur Highways (Farmers Protest)

The farmers closed the Delhi-Jaipur and Delhi-Agra highways on 12 December. During this time, agitating farmers had also closed toll plazas in many areas of the country. The farmers had made the routes toll free.

Meanwhile, a farmers organization, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu faction), has supported the agricultural laws. The farmers of this group met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and gave their letters of support.

Striking at the shout border ends (Normal traffic at Chilla border)

The farmers have ended their picket on the Chilla border connecting Noida-Delhi (Delhi-Noida). The road was reopened late Saturday. The Noida-Delhi link road was closed from December 1 due to the demonstration of farmers at the Chilla Border.

Noida Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajesh S told that the farmers agreed to vacate the protest site and the road would reopen completely. Some protesters are still there but they will evacuate soon.
