Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has issued a notice. In this notice, PF account holders have been asked to file e-nomination. The purpose of this notice is that in any adverse situation, the family of the PF account holder can get the benefit of social security. EPAF has said in the notice that if the PF account holder does e-nomination, then his family can get a benefit of Rs 7 lakh.
This scheme is applicable to all the account holders of EPFO. EPFO has written in a tweet, the member should make e-nomination today so that his family can get the benefit of social security. Follow these simple steps to file e-nomination digitally. EPFO has also given steps for this.
How to file e-Nomination
- Firstly visit the official website of epfindia.gov.in
- Go to the Services tab and click on The employees option
- Now click on Member UAN/Online Service option
- Enter all your information by visiting the e-Sewa portal
- You will see manager tab where you have to select on YES option and update family declaration
- Fill in all your family information
- Now click on Nomination Details and fill the share amount
- Now save the EPF nomination details
- Click on E-Sign option and generate OTP
- Enter OTP number to complete the registration process
After completing this process, the e-nomination gets registered in the EPAO. This facility is available to the nominee of the account holder and that too when he dies. EPFO has increased the insurance benefit to 7 lakhs. This decision was taken in June this year. Under the Employee Deposit Linked Insurance EDLI scheme, this amount was earlier Rs 6 lakh. EPFO is the largest social security organization in the world.
