EPFO: There is a big change in the rules of PF account from September 1

EPFO Latest News Update: If you are an EPF subscriber then there is big news for you. According to the new rules, the EPF subscriber will have to link the Aadhar card with his account before September 1. EPFO has made it mandatory to link PF and UAN with Aadhaar. Earlier its deadline was June 1, which has been extended to August 31.

 

In its circular, the EPFO ​​has asked all the offices to be ready to implement this rule from September 1. Linking Aadhaar on behalf of EPFO ​​is being said because if through your Aadhaar the necessary information like name, gender, age will be matched with the EPF account. If both the information is not correct then your account will be banned. Apart from this, those who will not link Aadhaar will also have to face difficulties.

In such a situation, if you have not linked your account with Aadhaar yet, then definitely do it. EPFO has said in another notification that now it is the responsibility of the employer i.e. the company to get the Aadhaar linked of its employees.

How to link your UAN with Aadhaar

  • First you go to the EPFO ​​portal epfindia.gov.in and follow the given steps…
  • Login to epfindia.gov.in
  • Go to ‘e-KYC portal’ under ‘Online Services’ option and click on Link UAN Aadhaar
  • Enter UAN number and registered mobile number here
  • OTP will come on your registered mobile number
  • Now enter OTP and 12 digit Aadhaar number
  • Then click on submit button
  • Now click on OTP Verification option
  • For verification of your Aadhaar details generate OTP on registered mobile number to mail linked with your Aadhaar number.
