PF Rule Change from1st April: EPF Members Alert! This rule of PF will change from April 1, 2022, know what will changed quickly

EPFO Fund Transfer: You have changed your job, and now want to transfer your PF money to another account or if you want to withdraw money, then you must know one thing that some information must be updated in your PF account.

New Delhi: EPFO Fund Transfer: It has often been seen that many times we forget to transfer our PF account while changing jobs. In this too many times it happens that our old company forgets to enter the date of exit in the EPFO system, due to which later the employee faces difficulty in transferring PF balance. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has also made this difficult for its members easy.

Earlier only the company could update the date

Earlier, only the employer had the right to enter or update the date of joining and date of exit of the employee. For some reason, it was difficult to withdraw or transfer funds from EPF (Employee Provident Fund) due to non-updating of these two dates by the employer.

Now employees can update the date themselves

Now EPFO gives this facility to its members that they can enter the date of leaving the job themselves in the EPFO system. Now they will not have to depend on the company. With this new facility, it has become easier to withdraw or transfer money from the fund. If you also want to enter Date of Exit in your PF account, then its process is very easy, you can do it online sitting at home.

Update Date of Exit in EPFO

1. Go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
2. Log in by entering UAN, Password and Captcha code
3. A new page will open, click on ‘Manage’ at the top
4. Then click on Mark Exit
5. In the dropdown you will see Select Employment, select old PF account number in it Which is linked to your UAN
6. You will see the details related to that account and job,
7. Enter the date and reason of leaving the job. The reasons for leaving the job will be options like retirement, short service.
8. After this click on ‘Request OTP’.
9. Enter the OTP and click on the check box
10. Update and then click on OK, you are done.

Information once entered will not be edited

Extreme care is required while updating this, because the date once entered cannot be edited later. If you have left the job a few days back, then you will have to wait for 2 months to enter the exit date as it will be updated only after 2 months of the last contribution of the employer in PF.
