EPFO Members: Good news! Now you can withdraw money from PF account when you need money, the process is very easy

Most of the people take the loan route when they need money, but if you are a salaried employee and you deposit money in your PF account every month, then instead of taking a loan, you can withdraw money from your PF account. EPFO i.e. Employees Provident Fund Organization gives you the freedom to withdraw your money when needed.


If the job is lost or if someone is unemployed for more than 2 months, then money can be withdrawn from the PF account. Apart from this, you can use your provident fund for illness, children’s education to construction of house. But if you do not have a solid reason to withdraw money then you cannot withdraw much money.

Withdraw money from PF account in this way

  • Go to the UAN portal and log in. Enter the captcha and proceed to sign in.
  • Now go to the ‘Online Services’ tab appearing in the top menu and click on the option ‘Claim (Form 31, 19 and 10C)’.
  • This will take you to a new page with members details, KYC details. Now enter your bank account number here and click on ‘Verify’. Then you have to fill the reason for leaving the services of PF
  • A pop up named ‘Certificate of Undertaking’ will appear. There click on ‘Yes’.
  • Again go to the drop down menu and select ‘I want to apply for’ option and from there select ‘PF withdrawal only (Form 19)’ option.
  • Fill in the ‘Complete Address’ section and upload the scanned copy of your passbook or cheque.

Transfer such PF account online

  • First of all login to EPFO ​​member portal.
  • After this, after going to Online Service, click on One Member One Account and click on Transfer Request.
  • Verification of PF account and personal information is necessary for existing employment.
  • After clicking on Get Details, the detailed information of the old employment will open in front of you.
  • Now you have to choose between Previous Employer or Current Employer and here you have to attest the form.
  • After this, click on ‘Get OTP’ to get OTP on the registered mobile number given by you in UAN.
  • Enter the OTP where asked and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • EPFO ​​will transfer your EPF account online after being attested by the employer you have selected in the form.
