UAN Aadhaar Linking: If Aadhaar and UAN linking is not done before December 1, then EPFO ​​members may suffer a big loss. If an employee’s PF account is not linked with Aadhaar, then his PF money will not be able to be deposited and the employee will not be able to withdraw money from his PF account.

The last date for linking Universal Account Number (UAN) with Aadhaar number has now been extended to November 30. Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EMPLOYEES’ PROVIDENT FUND ORGANISATION- EPFO) has also appointed an officer so that people do not have to worry about linking UAN with Aadhaar number.

It has been said on behalf of EPFO ​​that it has appointed Deputy Director Harsh Kaushik to help in UAN-Aadhaar linking. According to PF Commissioner Sanat Kumar, assistance can be taken by contacting Deputy Director Harsh Kaushik at ecr.help@epfindia.gov.in. These officers will help in resolving the complaint related to linking. If any employee has a technical problem, then he should immediately contact this address.

To keep your PF account active, it is necessary to link it with Aadhaar. Aadhar-UAN linking is necessary for the insurance cover available on the PF account. Because if your account is not linked with Aadhaar, Employee Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) of the employee will also not be able to be deposited. This may also exclude the employee from the insurance cover.

EPFO has said that its members can avail UAN-Aadhaar linking facility through UMANG mobile app. Aadhar and UAN account can be linked through UMANG App as follows-

  1. Download the app from Google Play Store or Apple iOS
  2. Click on EPFO ​​link
  3. Tap on E-KYC Services
  4. Select Aadhar Seeding Option and keep your UAN ready
  5. OTP will be sent to your phone number after entering the UAN
  6. Your Aadhaar will be linked with your UAN number once you enter all the details
