EPF pensioners should submit their life certificate immediately

0

EPFO pensioners are required to submit their life certificates annually. Failure to submit a life certificate automatically stops the pensioner’s pension. It has also been noticed that even after a pensioner’s death, family members often fail to notify the relevant EPFO office on time, causing difficulties for widows in receiving their pensions and resulting in delays.

Pensioners can now upload their life certificates from home using Aadhaar face recognition technology on their mobile phones. The application is available on the Google Play Store. The life certificate can now be submitted at any time of the year. It is valid for one year after submission.

The department has appealed to all pensioners who have not yet submitted their life certificates to do so immediately. The pensioner’s family is also urged to immediately inform the relevant EPFO office of the pensioner’s death. Pensioners can visit the office daily during working hours for life certificate registration.
