Some part of the salary of those working in the organized sector goes into the EPF account. Apart from salary, some amount is also deposited in this account by the company. Interest is available on this amount at the rate of 8.25%. A good amount can be added to the retirement fund through EPF. The amount can be withdrawn from this fund with conditions as per need or at the time of leaving the job.



The amount withdrawn from EPF account comes to your bank account.

When you withdraw money from EPF, the money is directly deposited in the linked bank account. In such a situation, if the linked account gets closed then you need to link a new account. How to link EPF account with bank account

  • First of all go to the Unified Member Portal of EPFO.
  • Login here by entering your UAN, password and captcha.
  • Then click on Manage tab, after this a drop down menu will appear. Click on KYC here.
  • After KYC, select your bank. Enter your account number, name and IFSC code here.
  • After this submit it.
  • After all this process is done, the HR department of the company approves it.
  • After the approval of the company, your bank account gets linked to the PF account.
