The monthly minimum wage for unskilled workers of Delhi Municipal Corporation i.e. MCD will be increased from Rs 16,792 to Rs 17,234. Whereas for semi-skilled workers, the salary will increase from Rs 18,499 to Rs 18,993 and for skilled workers, the monthly minimum wage will increase from Rs 20,375 to Rs 20,903.

In this matter, officials said that from April 1, Dearness Allowance will be paid to all MCD employees. AAP had announced dearness allowance for all MCD employees from April 1. The government’s proposal on increasing the minimum wage will be placed for approval in the next MCD House meeting. According to the agenda of the MCD House meeting, the minimum wage will also be increased for clerical and supervisory employees in all scheduled employment. According to the proposal, the minimum wage for non-matric pass employees will increase to Rs 18,993, for matriculate but not graduate employees it will increase to Rs 20,902 and for graduate and above employees, the minimum wage will increase to Rs 22,744. Dearness allowance for these employees will be Rs 494, Rs 546 and Rs 598 per month respectively.
