This will be the first time in 40 years that employees will get such low interest on PF. Since the government had reduced the interest rate on deposits in PF account from 8.5 per cent to 8.1 per cent in March 2022.

PF subscribers can check their PF balance sitting at home using four different methods. PF balance can be checked using SMS, Online, Missed Call and Umang App.
How to check online- Log on to epfindia.gov.in. Feed your UAN Number, Password and Captcha Code and click on E-Passbook. Once you have entered all the details, you will be redirected to a new page.
