According to media reports, the central government can transfer interest money to the accounts of PF account holders this month or by the first week of March, this time interest will be given at the rate of 8.1 percent. However, no official confirmation has been made by the government in this regard.

In fact, recently Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a change in the PF rules in the budget speech presented on February 1, 2023, in such a situation, it is expected that soon the accounts of the employees For the financial year 2022-23, interest money can be received on the amount deposited in PF.

This will be the first time in 40 years that employees will get such low interest on PF. Since the government had reduced the interest rate on deposits in PF account from 8.5 per cent to 8.1 per cent in March 2022.

PF subscribers can check their PF balance sitting at home using four different methods. PF balance can be checked using SMS, Online, Missed Call and Umang App.

How to check online- Log on to epfindia.gov.in. Feed your UAN Number, Password and Captcha Code and click on E-Passbook. Once you have entered all the details, you will be redirected to a new page. THROUGH MISSED CALL- EPFO ​​subscribers registered on UAN portal can obtain PF details available with Employees’ Provident Fund Organization by giving a missed call to 011-22901406 from their mobile number registered with UAN.
