Employees DA Hike: Increase in DA of these employees, Ministry issued order, benefits will be available from October, salary will increase

Dearness allowance of employees has been increased. For this, orders have been issued and as per the order issued by the Ministry, they will be given this benefit from the month of October. With this, a big increase in their salary will be recorded.


DA Hike, Employees DA Hike, VDA Hike: There is good news for the employees. Their dearness allowance has been increased. Orders have been issued for this. Orders for this have also been issued by the Ministry. Under the order, they will be given the benefit of increased dearness allowance from October.

In fact, the rates of variable dearness allowance have been revised for employees working in the agricultural sector. These amendments will come into effect from October 1, 2023. With this the consumer price index has increased to 385.97. As a result, an increase of 7.39 points has been recorded in VDA.

In such a situation, the salary of the employees has been divided into three categories.

  • Dearness allowance will be paid to category A unskilled workers at Rs 147 per day, semi-skilled workers at Rs 159 per day, skilled and clerical workers at Rs 147 per day and highly skilled workers at Rs 191 per day.
  • Dearness allowance will be paid to category B unskilled workers at Rs 135 per day, semi-skilled workers at Rs 147 per day, skilled and clerical workers at Rs 159 per day and highly skilled workers at Rs 179 per day.
  • Dearness allowance will be paid to category C unskilled workers at Rs 133 per day, semi-skilled workers at Rs 136 per day, skilled and clerical workers at Rs 147 per day and highly skilled workers at Rs 159 per day.

Payment of salary under category per day, area wise

In such a situation, workers will be paid area wise per day salary as per category.

  • A category unskilled laborer will be paid Rs 480 at the rate of Rs 333 + 147. Semi skilled workers will be paid Rs 523 at the rate of Rs 364 + 159. Skilled and clerical workers will be paid Rs 569 per day on the basis of Rs 395 + 174, while highly skilled workers will be paid Rs 629 per day on the basis of Rs 438 + 191.
  • B category unskilled laborer will be paid Rs 438 at the rate of Rs 303 + 135. Semi skilled workers will be paid Rs 482 at the rate of Rs 335 + 147. Skilled and clerical workers will be paid Rs 523 per day on the basis of Rs 364 + 159, while highly skilled workers will be paid Rs 586 per day on the basis of Rs 407 + 179.
  • C category unskilled laborer will be paid Rs 433 at the rate of Rs 300+133. Semi skilled workers will be paid Rs 443 at the rate of Rs 307 + 136. Skilled and clerical workers will be paid Rs 481 per day on the basis of Rs 334 + 147, while highly skilled workers will be paid Rs 523 per day on the basis of Rs 364 + 159.
