Yogi government announced bonus to state employees before Diwali. Non-gazetted employees will be given bonus and all state employees and teachers will be given dearness allowance at increased rates. State employees will get four percent dearness allowance like central employees. The allowance will cost the state exchequer about Rs 300 crore every month. According to the information available, the amount of bonus can be a maximum of seven thousand rupees. That means each non-gazetted employee can be given a maximum bonus of Rs 7000. Let us tell you that the number of non-gazetted employees in UP is around 14.82 lakh.
On the other hand, recently the Central Government had announced to give four percent dearness allowance to its employees. Now Yogi government will also give four percent dearness allowance to state employees. On the announcement of giving dearness allowance, DA of state employees will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent. About 10 lakh state employees, eight lakh teachers and pensioners will get the benefit of DA increase.
