Employees Salary Hike 2024: Good news for employees, 10% increase in salary is possible this year, there will be a jump in salary, know the latest updates.

7th Pay Commission: The government had announced to increase the dearness allowance for central employees on the occasion of Diwali. Under the Seventh Pay Commission, the government had increased the DA of employees by 4 percent to 46 percent. Now big news is coming for the employees getting salary according to the Sixth and Fifth Pay Commission. The government has also increased the dearness allowance (DA) of these employees.


How much increase in DA?

DA on basic salary for employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) covered under the Sixth Pay Commission has been increased from the existing 221% to 230%. That means this time it has been increased by 9 percent. The changed rate of dearness allowance will be made effective for employees from July 1, 2023. The DA of the employees covered under the Fifth Pay Commission has also been increased by the government. The DA of these employees has been increased according to two categories.

Increased by 15 percent

Such employees who were not given the benefit of merging 50 percent DA with basic salary. The existing 462% DA of such employees has been increased to 477%. Apart from this, the existing rate of DA for those employees who have been given the benefit of merging 50% DA with the basic salary has been increased from 412% to 427%. In this way, both categories of employees are getting the benefit of 15 percent DA increase.

Under the Seventh Pay Commission, the DA of central employees was increased by 4 percent in the month of October. At that time the DA of the employees was 42 percent, which was increased by the government to 46 percent. The new rate was implemented from July 1. This decision of the government benefited 49 lakh central employees and 65 lakh pensioners.
