Employees Alert: This company will fire thousands of employees, know what is the reason?

New Delhi. Intel Corp, the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturer, is going to lay off thousands of employees. This disclosure has been made in a recent Bloomberg report. According to the report, the layoffs can be announced as early as this month. In this layoff, about 20% employees can be cut from other divisions including sales and marketing.

Intel, on the other hand, declined to comment on the job cuts. Bloomberg said the company had 113,700 employees as of July. In the same month, the company slashed its annual sales and profit forecast after forecasting second quarter results. During the Corona epidemic, there was a significant increase in the sales of the company, but now due to the high inflation rate as well as the opening of offices and schools, the sales of computers have come down significantly in the recent past. Due to this there has been a decline in the sales of the company.

Supply Chain

Intel’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pat Gelsinger on Tuesday issued an advertisement for the company’s employees, outlining an internal foundry model for external customers and the company’s product lines.

Intel CEO visited India

In April this year, Intel’s Patrick Gelsinger visited India. During this, he also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Gelsinger said he was encouraged by the Indian government’s commitment to Intel’s semiconductor manufacturing manufacturing ecosystem domestically. However, he made it clear that at present the company has no definite plans to manufacture in India. Recently, the government has announced a production based incentive (PLI) scheme of Rs 76 thousand crore to promote domestic manufacturing of semiconductors and displays.
