State Education Minister Adimulku Suresh has criticized some for spreading false propaganda that the Jagannath Education Gift Scheme is not for the state government. Minister Suresh said that we will tell ourselves publicly if funds come from the central government. Jagannath is distributing kits to 43 lakh students at a cost of Rs 650 crore. For school bags Rs. 69.44 crore and Rs. 79.05 crore, for shoes and two pairs of socks, Rs. 67.75 crore and Rs. 10.13 crore and Rs. 29.70 crore has been allotted. The minister said the government was ready to take immediate action if any Jagannath education kits were found anywhere.
