In this important information like his name, date of birth and home address is written. If someone has changed his house or moved to a new city, then the address on the driving license will also have to be updated.

To change the address in the driving license, earlier one had to apply to the Regional Transport Office (RTO). However, now there is no need to go through such a long process. An easy way has also come for this. For this, you can use the mParivahan app of the Government of India. With this, the address of the house on the driving license will be changed while sitting at home. Here we are telling you the complete process step by step to change the address.

Step-1: Visit the official website parivahan.gov and click on “Driving License Services” from the drop-down menu under “Online Services”.

Step-2: Select the state from the drop-down menu and then tap on “Apply for Change of Address”.

Step-3: Click on “Continue” and then enter “Driving License Number” and “Date of Birth”.

Step-4: Now click on “DL INFORMATION” and confirm whether the information given on the driving license is correct or not.

Step-5: Now, select “RTO” and click on “Proceed”.

Step-6: Fill all the required details and tick the box against “Change of address on DL”.

Step-7: Select “Permanent”, “Current” or “Both” address and “Verify”.

Step-8: Submit the details and pay the processing fee of Rs 200. Your address will be updated on your driving license.
