DGCA Fine AirAsia Flight: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation i.e. DGCA has been created to keep a close watch on the airline companies across the country and to follow the rules properly. Many times the airline does not follow its terms and conditions. In such a situation, DGCA is forced to take action against them. This time the DGCA has imposed a hefty fine of Rs 20 lakh on the airline company AirAsia. Know for violating which rule this action has been taken.

Violation of pilot training rules

DGCA has imposed a fine on the airline company AirAsia. DGCA has imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh on Air Asia. DGCA has imposed this fine on Air Asia for not implementing pilot training rules properly.

Examiners also fined

DGCA had tested the training of air line pilots between November 23 and November 25, 2022. After which this fine has been imposed on the company. The DGCA has also fined the examiners of the airline for violating pilot training rules. DGCA has informed that a fine of Rs 3 lakh each has been imposed on 8 examiners of AirAsia for violations of pilot training rules.

DGCA sent show cause notice

DGCA says that the head of pilot training of AirAsia has been suspended for 3 months. During the investigation of the pilot to DGCA, some necessary training rules were not being followed, after which this action has been taken. DGCA has issued a show cause notice to AirAsia on this matter. It has been asked in the notice that why action should not be taken against him for not following the rules properly during pilot training. DGCA has initiated action on the airline company after Air Asia’s reply.

Vistara was fined

Recently, DGCA imposed a fine of Rs 70 lakh on Tata Group’s Vistara Airlines. DGCA has taken this action against the company for not operating the minimum number of flights in the less served areas of the Northeast. The company has paid a fine of Rs 70 lakh.
