The DGCA has informed that the investigation conducted by it has revealed that the child was treated badly by the airline staff, due to which the matter escalated.

DGCA gave information
Giving information, the DGCA has said, ‘It will change its guidelines to ensure that such an incident does not happen in future. Had the matter been handled sympathetically, the matter would not have escalated so much that the passenger would have been denied boarding.

Not behaving according to rules
The DGCA has said, ‘Special circumstances demand a better response. But the airline staff could not handle the situation and failed to uphold the spirit of civil aviation rules.

People were outraged
Significantly, on May 7, a handicapped child was stopped from boarding by the airline’s ground staff, after which there was a lot of outrage.
