• Republic Day Outlook: For the parade on Monday (Jan 26), the IMD is predicting a partly cloudy sky with temperatures between 7°C and 20°C. The thing is, another intense western disturbance is hitting on January 26–27. Let’s be real—don’t be surprised if the flypast happens under heavy cloud cover or light drizzle.

• Gurugram’s Orange Alert: While Delhi is on “yellow,” Gurugram was under an orange alert until noon today. They got hit with 12mm of rain on Friday and are still bracing for gusty winds up to 60kmph. Or nothing.

• The AQI “Window”: The rain washed the air, bringing the AQI down to 256 (Poor) from nearly 300. It’s a brief relief. The thing is, it’s already predicted to slip back into “Very Poor” by the 27th as winds slow down.
