Delhi Roads Closed: These roads of Delhi will remain closed from 17 to 21 January, check diversion before leaving home

Preparations have started in the country’s capital for 26 January i.e. Republic Day. In such a situation, the parade rehearsal will be done on the Kartavya Path. Rehearsal of the parade will be done from Vijay Chowk to India Gate on 17, 18, 20 and 21 January. Due to this rehearsal, some surrounding roads including Kartavyapath will be closed for traffic from 10:15 am to 12:30 pm. Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory regarding this.

These roads are completely closed

According to Delhi Police Traffic Advisory, traffic movement will be completely restricted on Duty Path-Rafi Marg Crossing, 26 Duty Path-Janpath Crossing, Duty Path-Mansingh Road. Crossing and duty path-C-Hexagon will be from 10.15 am to 12.30 pm. Kartavya Path from Vijay Chowk to India Gate will also remain closed for traffic.

Delhi Police told alternative routes

To avoid traffic jams, Delhi Police has suggested alternative routes to the people. Passengers coming from North to South and vice versa should follow Ring Road Sarai Kale Khan-IP Flyover-Rajghat, Lajpat Rai Marg-Mathura Road-Bhairon Road-Ring Road, Aurobindo Marg-Safdarjung Road-Kamal Ataturk Marg-Kautilaiya Marg Sardar Patel Road. Check the route before leaving home

Motorists coming from Vinay Marg, Shanti Path, who have to go to New Delhi and beyond, should take the route via Sardar Patel Marg – Mother Teresa Crescent – RML Roundabout – Baba Kharak Singh Marg or Park Street – Mandir Marg via North Delhi or New Delhi.
