In view of the huge crowd at metro stations, the Delhi government has given permission to run the metro with 100 percent capacity. According to the new rule, now people will be able to travel sitting on all the seats in the metro.


Delhi Metro Rail Corporation: In view of the increasing infection of Corona virus in Delhi, weekend curfew is in force. However, essential services will continue during the weekend curfew. Metro and bus services will continue to run as per their predetermined schedule. But Delhi Metro has issued new guidelines for the weekend curfew.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has said in a statement regarding the operation of trains that during the curfew on the Yellow Line of Delhi Metro i.e. HUDA City Center to Samaypur Badli Line, there will be an interval of 15 minutes during the curfew. The running time between the two trains will be 15 minutes. This rule of frequency of 15 minutes will also be applicable for the Blue Line Metro. The Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City or Vaishali line is called the Blue Line.

Can’t travel standing up

Let us tell you that in view of the huge crowd at the metro stations, the Delhi government has given permission to run the metro with 100 percent capacity. According to the new rule, now people will be able to travel sitting on all the seats in the metro, but standing will not be allowed to travel.


Metro trains will run every 15 minutes on the Yellow and Blue lines. On other lines, this time has been kept for 20 minutes. For the rest of the days, the frequency of trains will be normal. Therefore, if you want to travel by metro, then definitely keep in mind the waiting time of 15-20 minutes.

Weekend Curfew in Delhi

People will not be allowed to leave their homes unnecessarily during the weekend curfew. During this time only people connected with essential services will be allowed to come and go. Whereas in a medical emergency, one can go out with an identity card. The officers and employees of the offices attached to the Government of India will be allowed to move on production of identity cards.

If you have a train, bus or flight during the weekend curfew, then you can go to the railway station, bus stand or airport. You just need to have a ticket for this.
