New Delhi: With the increase in the cases of corona infection in the capital of the country, the timing of Delhi Metro has also changed. In view of DDMA’s new guidelines ‘Weekend Curfew’, now commuters will get metro at an interval of 15 to 20 minutes on the day of curfew.

Metro will run at an interval of 15 minutes on Blue Line

In fact, according to the new guidelines of DDMA, there will be a weekend curfew to prevent corona infection, that is, curfew has been imposed in Delhi on 8 and 9 January 2022.

At the same time, passengers traveling during the weekend will have to wait a bit for the metro, according to Delhi Metro, keeping in mind the corona infection and new rules, now the timing of its trains has also been changed by Delhi Metro. At the same time, during the weekend curfew, now metro trains will be available at an interval of 15 to 20 minutes.


In these, metro will be available on the Yellow Line and Blue Line of Delhi Metro at an interval of 15 minutes. That is, the passengers who want to travel between HUDA City Center to Samaypur Badli and those who want to travel between Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City and Vaishali, will have to wait for 15 minutes. Also, metro will be available on all other lines of Delhi Metro at an interval of 20 minutes.

Metro will run normally in these days

Apart from this, Delhi Metro will operate normally from Monday to Friday. According to the new guidelines, at present 100 percent seating is allowed in metro trains, but standing is not allowed.

Hence, entry into trains and stations will be highly restricted, as only a limited number of passengers (50 only) are allowed per coach.

On behalf of Delhi Metro, passengers have been asked to avoid traveling unnecessarily. At the same time, it has also been urged that while traveling, take extra time.
