He said that at present, the number of seats in the metro and buses is allowed to accommodate the same number of passengers. In such a situation, if permission is given to travel by standing, then more people will get the option of traveling by buses and metro.

A meeting has been held at the government level in this regard. In the meeting, it has been agreed to send a proposal to DDMA seeking permission to travel standing in metro and buses.

Please note that at present, standing and traveling in metro-buses is not allowed. DDMA, in its order issued on Monday, November 15, did not allow standing and traveling in metros and buses. At present, the rule of traveling for the same number of seats in metro and buses will be applicable..


A senior DDMA official said that the proposal to seek permission to travel standing in metro and buses can be considered. According to Monday’s order, the relaxations and restrictions implemented by DDMA in the capital during Corona will continue as before.

According to the order issued by DDMA, the time limit for relaxation and restricted activities has now been extended till November 30. It has also been clarified in the order that if any new order regarding prohibited activities comes before November 30, then eventually the same will be deemed to be applicable. From time to time, DDMA has issued some instructions regarding marriage, other programs and some activities under Corona. According to the orders issued, now the period of those instructions has been extended.
