The Central Industrial Security Force on Thursday deposited a bag containing Rs 2.50 lakh belonging to a businessman from Uttar Pradesh at Delhi’s Karol Bagh metro station. CISF constable M Munda noticed the unclaimed bag lying on the output roller of the X-ray machine at around 6.15 pm. After which it was found that this bag belonged to 38-year-old Amit Kumar Khurana, resident of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.

On Thursday, CISF constable M Munda saw an unclaimed bag lying on the output roller of the X-ray machine at around 6.15 pm at Delhi’s Karol Bagh station. After which the investigation started whether there is any dangerous item in the bag. In no time it became clear that there was no dangerous item in the bag. When that bag was opened, it was found that two and a half lakh rupees in cash and two bank passbooks were also lying in the bag. Then the cash and valuables along with the bag were deposited with the station controller. Along with this, it was announced to get bags in nearby stations.
X-ray machine had forgotten to take the bags
shortly after Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor resident 38-year-old Amit Kumar Khurana claimed back bag on the security checkpoint. The claimant told that he forgot to take his bag containing Rs 2.50 lakh, which he had brought to Delhi due to some business deal. A CISF official said, “After keeping the bag for X-ray screening, the claimant forgot to take it. After due verification, the bag containing a cash amount of Rs 2.50 lakh was returned to Amit Kumar Khurana.” After which Amit thanked the CISF and also appreciated the vigilance and honesty of the force personnel.
