Delhi Government Fellowship 2025: Delhi Government has started Tourism and Heritage Fellowship Program. Candidates can apply for this till 8th September. Selection will be done through interview etc. The selected candidate will be given a fellowship of Rs 50 thousand per month.
The Delhi government has started a new initiative to present Delhi’s historical and cultural heritage to the world in a new way. The government has announced the launch of the Tourism and Heritage Fellowship Program. Under this program, 40 youth will be given fellowship every year, in which they will get an honorarium of Rs 50 thousand per month.
Linking this scheme to the vision of self-reliant India, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that this initiative will not only provide opportunities to the youth, but will also help in establishing Delhi as a vibrant, inclusive and world-class tourism hub. According to her, the youth selected under this fellowship will work directly on government projects and will be directly connected to the heritage and tourism development of the city.
Where and how will you get the opportunity?
This program will be run by Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC). The youth receiving the fellowship will get opportunities to work in many different jobs. These include heritage walks, guided tours, preparing digital and promotional material, running Delhi Haat and Garden of Five Senses, coordinating film shootings, managing tourist information centers, event management, organizing conferences and exhibitions. Through these jobs, the youth will not only understand the heritage of the city closely, but will also play an important role in bringing it to the country and the world in a more attractive way.
Who can apply?
- Age should be less than 35 years.
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Degree or Masters in Tourism will be given preference.
- Applicant must have at least 1 year of formal experience in tourism or related field.
- Good command over Hindi and English language and digital skills are required.
- Selection will be done through interview. The interview will be conducted on 18th September.

Candidates can apply for the fellowship program through speed post till September 8. The duration of the fellowship will be one year. After completing the program, candidates will also be given a certificate. Delhi is not only the capital of the country, but its streets, monuments and markets reflect centuries of history.
