Delhi Auto Taxi Strike: Auto union on 2 day strike, know what are the demands

Delhi Auto-Taxi Strike: After the ever-increasing rates of petrol-diesel and CNG, the auto-taxi union’s two-day strike has started from today. The union has put forth a total of 16 demands including increasing the fare.


Delhi Auto Taxi Strike on 18 April: If you are also in Delhi and often travel by auto-taxi, then this news is very important for you. After the rising petrol-diesel and CNG prices across the country, now the auto-taxi union has demanded an increase in the fare. Due to this, the auto-taxi unions are on a two-day strike from April 18. A total of 16 demands have been placed on behalf of the union.

Impact will remain in entire Delhi

Delhi Auto-Taxi Strike will remain jammed for two days due to ever-increasing fuel prices. The effect of this strike will remain in the whole of Delhi. Because of this, taxis or autos will not be visible on the roads of Delhi.

Warning of further strike if demands are not accepted

Rajendra Soni, president of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Transport Union, says that all the auto taxi unions will be with us (Delhi Taxi Union Strike). We are sorry for the trouble the people of Delhi will face on the day of the strike. But if the public is upset, then it will be the responsibility of both the Center and the Delhi government. Soni said that we have made some demands, if there is no hearing on these, then further strike can be done.

The union also kept this demand

1. Delhi government should decide the fare of app based taxi.
2. The necessity of panic button should be abolished.
3. Stop taking 2500 rupees in the name of speed governor’s checking.
4. All India Tourist Permit should be given 10 years validity to diesel buses and tempo travellers.
5. The validity of contract carriage buses of CNG in Delhi should be extended for two more years.
6. Registration of diesel Euro 6 taxi buses should be started in Delhi.
7. The speed governor and panic button scam should be investigated by the CBI.
8. VAT on diesel should be reduced in Delhi.
9. The Delhi government should give subsidy to bus and taxi owners for CNG gas.
10. Fee charged by DIMTS in the name of GPS every year should be stopped.
11. All late fees and fines being taken by the Transport Department in Delhi should be removed.
12. Still the permits of 8 seater diesel taxi are not renewing after 5 years, their permits should be ordered to be renewed soon.
13. Driver gender training should be removed at the time of fitness.
14. The requirement of speed governor should be removed from the taxi buses of All India Tourist Permit.
15. Diesel-petrol and CNG should be brought under the purview of GST.
16. Stop the fine of 10 thousand on buses from the traffic police and enforcement.
