Traveling from Gurugram to Delhi Airport will be easy
There is a problem of traffic jam on the Delhi-Jaipur highway towards Gurugram. About 5 lakh vehicles pass through here every day. The reason for the jam is the lack of lanes. There are 24 lanes on both sides on Sarhaul towards Gurgaon. However, as soon as you enter Delhi, there is only a 4-lane Rajouri flyover. Due to this, when the 12-lane traffic comes on the 4 lane, there is a jam. The opening of both the tunnels built on the Dwarka Expressway has reduced the jam. Not only this, the journey from Gurugram to Delhi Airport has also become easier.
How long are both tunnels
One tunnel is 3.25 km long, which goes to Yashobhoomi in Dwarka. The other is 2.25 km long, which goes to T-3 at the airport. Only vehicles up to 4.5 meters are allowed to ply. The tunnel has CCTV surveillance, control room, emergency exit. This tunnel will improve connectivity between Dwarka Expressway and IGI Airport. With the opening of the tunnel 24 hours, the journey of lakhs of passengers of Delhi-NCR will become easier. This tunnel will not only connect Dwarka Expressway to IGI Airport, but will also improve the mutual connectivity of areas like Gurugram, Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Alipur. Also, connectivity of Sonipat, Panipat and Chandigarh will improve with industrial areas like Gurugram, Faridabad and Manesar.
