IGI Airport said in its new travel advisory, “Operations at Delhi Airport are currently normal. However, due to changing airspace conditions and increased security measures as per the orders of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, the schedules of some flights may be affected and security checkpoint processing may take longer. ”

Earlier, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the concerned aviation authorities have issued several Notices to Airmen (NOTAM) announcing the temporary closure of 32 airports in northern and western India for all civil flight operations.

Notam is effective from May 9, 2025 to May 14, 2025 (that is 05:29 on May 15, 2025) due to operational reasons. The list of 32 airports includes Adhampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Avantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra (Gaggal), Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu Manali (Bhuntar), Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Nalia, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Rajkot (Hiraser), Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise and Uttarlai.
Defence sources said on Friday that drones were spotted at 26 locations on both the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC), from Baramulla in the north to Bhuj in the south, amid escalating tensions with Pakistan. The drones are suspected to be armed and could pose a potential threat to both civilian and military targets. The locations where drones were sighted include Baramulla, Srinagar, Awantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet and Lakhi Nala.
