Dead body of third elephant found in the forest of northern Chhattisgarh, know why the death

Ambikapur, State Bureau. In Northern Chhattisgarh, there has been a panic in the Forest Department due to the discovery of the body of a third elephant within 60 hours. On Thursday, the corpse of Hathini was found in the Karawan forest of Rajpur forest area in Balrampur district. Seeing the condition of the body, doctors have feared that the body is several days old. Prima facie, the death of two elephants in the three is due to the consumption of toxic material. The post-mortem of the bodies of elephants found on Wednesday and Thursday has been secured for investigation. 

The incident is being seen as a human-elephant duel 



During the post-mortem of the first elephant’s corpse was not captured. After being questioned, the elephant’s grave was dug out on Thursday. Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun will be sent for investigation. Please tell that there is a lot of terror of elephants in this area. It is also being seen as a human-elephant duel phenomenon. Earlier, for two consecutive days, the body of two elephants was found in Ganeshpur forest of Pratappur forest area in Surajpur district. The possibility of a human-elephant duel has been reinforced by the finding of a third body in the Karwan forest in Balrampur district, which is associated with the same forest area.

Elephant deaths are not natural

Senior head of the department, including Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Arun Pandey, saw the bodies of both the elephants. The post-mortem was done by a team of doctors from Raipur in the presence of forest officials. APCCF Arun Pandey admitted that elephant deaths do not look natural. He said that elephants can die due to eating or drinking poisonous substances. Therefore, the spot is being sent for investigation. The elephant whose body was found on the first day, had an infection and cyst in its liver. Due to this, there was a lapse in local authorities in taking shelter.
