Additional burden of Rs 240 to 300 crores-

The rates of the central government’s health scheme package have been revised. The process of referral under CGHS has been further simplified. The benefits of which will be given to the employees. With this decision of the government, an additional burden of Rs 240 to 300 crore will increase on them.

Change in consultancy fees as well-

Along with the 4 percent increase in the dearness allowance, the consultancy fee given to doctors under the health scheme of the central government has also been changed. The OPD consultancy fee is Rs 150 while the IPD consultancy fee has been fixed at Rs 300. At the same time, after the new change, both OPD and IPD consultancy fees will be Rs 350.

The referral process just got easier

It was in the same year that the government issued a statement saying that the referral process can now be completed through video calls as well. Earlier, the CGHS beneficiary had to go to the CGHS Wellness Center and take referral to the hospital, but now, if the CGHS beneficiary is unable to go, he can take the referral by sending someone else to the Wellness Center instead.

Ward rent also changed

After checking the documents by the office, the beneficiary can be referred to go to the hospital. Apart from this, CGHS beneficiaries can also take referrals over video call. Along with this, changes have also been made in the rent of general, semi-private and private wards under the scheme. Presently their rent is 1000 for general ward, 2000 for semi private and ₹ 3000 for private. After the new changes in the scheme, the fare will be Rs 1500 for general ward, Rs 3000 for private ward and Rs 4500 for private board.
