About seven lakh employees of Madhya Pradesh may soon get a big gift (4 percent) in the form of Dearness Allowance / DA, according to the information coming out, preparations have also started for this. Chhattisgarh Government has been written twice by the Finance Department of Madhya Pradesh for increase in DR, even after that no decision has been taken so far. Presently the pensioners of Madhya Pradesh are getting the benefit of 33 percent DA while the employees are getting 38 percent DA, while the central employees are also getting the benefit of 42 percent DR.

Chhattisgarh is stuck in such a tightrope –

Pensioners are resentful due to non-increase in dearness relief, in such a situation, loss of Rs 400 to 4000 is being incurred every month. Although the Shivraj government has taken a decision to increase the DR of pensioners by 5 percent and for this the finance department has made a proposal and sent it to the Chhattisgarh government for consent, but the approval has not been received so far.

Let us tell you here that due to the constitutional obligation of Section 49 (6) of the State Reorganization Act 2000, it is mandatory to take permission from the Government of Chhattisgarh. According to Section 49 of the State Reorganization Act, the state has to take consent before increasing the DR, because 74 percent of the economic burden that comes from it is borne by Madhya Pradesh and 26 percent by Chhattisgarh. This provision is applicable to the pensioners of undivided Madhya Pradesh.

Dearness Allowance will increase soon –

According to the news that is coming out now, the dearness allowance of lakhs of officers and employees of the state is going to increase by 4 percent in May. Preparations have been done for this, in such a situation, now after this decision, the DA of the employees of Madhya Pradesh will also increase from 38 percent to 42 percent, similar to that of the Center. According to the information that is coming out, this can be implemented from January 1, so if it is announced in May, then arrears of 4 months will also be given. However, there is no official confirmation about this yet. According to experts, with its implementation, there will be a bumper jump in the salary of 7 lakh employees of the state.

This is the promise of the Congress-

Taking this issue on behalf of the Congress before the MP Legislative Assembly elections to be held in the year 2023, it has been promised by meeting the representatives of the Pensioners Association on behalf of the State Congress that in MP As soon as the Congress government is formed, on the one hand, the old pension tax will be restored, on the other hand, along with this, the compulsion of consent from Chhattisgarh will be done away with for increasing the dearness relief of the pensioners.

It has also been promised that both these demands will be given priority in the Congress manifesto. It is to be known that there is a provision to take consent in Section 49 of the State Reorganization Act, while in the year 2017, the Central Government has said that both the states can abolish it, but no decision has been taken so far, in such a way pensioners Resentment remains.
