DA Hike by 9 %: Government employees got good news on Chhath Puja! 9 percent increase in DA, know who will benefit

Along with Dearness Allowance (DA Hike), the Central Government has also increased the Dearness Relief (DR Hike) of pensioners by 3 percent. This increase in DA and DR will be considered effective from July 1, 2021. Now the DA and DR of central employees has increased from 28 per cent to 31 per cent.



The central government has given a special gift to some government employees on Chhath Puja. Actually, the government has increased the Dearness Allowance Hike for the employees of BSNL. It has also been clarified that the increased Dearness Allowance (DA) will be applicable from November 2021. In other words, from November 2021, the salary of these government employees will increase (Salary Hike). Apart from this, these employees will also get increased HRA Hike i.e. BSNL employees will get double benefit.

How much dearness allowance will increase

The government has increased the amount of dearness allowance of BSNL employees from 170 percent to 179.3 percent. All employees below the board level and below board level of BSNL will get Dearness Allowance at an increased rate. The benefit of increase in DA will be given to the employees who are paid on the basis of 2007 pay revision.


78,323 took VRS

DA for BSNL employees was increased from 170.5 per cent to 173.8 per cent with effect from July 1, 2021. Then it was reduced to 179.3 percent from 1 October 2021. Recently, out of a total of 1,49,577 employees in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, 78,323 had taken voluntary retirement (VRS) by the government.

DA has become 31 percent

Along with DA, the Central Government has also increased the Dearness Relief (DR) of pensioners by 3 percent. This increase in DA and DR will be considered effective from July 1, 2021. Now the DA and DR of central employees has increased from 28 per cent to 31 per cent. This will benefit 47.14 lakh central government employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners.
