DA Hike Announcement: Good news for employees! DA increased by 11% and 6% simultaneously, they will get benefits

DA Hike Update: Dearness allowance has also been increased for the employees getting fifth and sixth pay scale in UP. The increased rates will be implemented from January 1.

DA Hike Update: On Tuesday, the government has increased the dearness allowance of state employees getting fifth and sixth pay scale in the state by 11 percent and 6 percent respectively. These include full-time employees of aided educational institutions, urban local bodies and employees receiving UGC pay scale.

Under this, the employees getting fifth pay scale will now get 466 percent instead of 455 percent and the employees getting sixth pay scale will now get 252 percent dearness allowance instead of 246 percent. The increased rate will be applicable from January 1, 2025. The balance amount payable from January 1 to March 31, 2025 will be deposited in the employee’s provident fund account. At the same time, 10 percent of the dearness allowance of the above period of employees coming under the National Pension Scheme will be deposited in their pension account while 14 percent amount will be deposited by the state government. The remaining 90 percent amount will be deposited in the PPF account of the employees.

On Tuesday, an order was issued to increase dearness allowance by two percent to the civil service officers working in the state. These officers will now get 55 percent dearness allowance instead of 53 percent. This will also be effective from January 1, 2025.
