A panel of scientists created by the Government of India has claimed that India has gone through a peak period.

There is a relief news in the case of Corona virus in India. Corona is very good news for India, which has reached the second position worldwide in the number of infected patients. A panel of scientists formed by the government says that the corona virus epidemic in India has passed its peak and is now downhill. That is, the worst phase of the corona virus epidemic has passed. The government panel is even saying that by February 2021, that is, the epidemic will be under control in the next four and a quarter months. The government panel says that the number of corona infected patients in India will not exceed one crore six lakhs. At present there are about 7.5 million cases of corona in India. The panel says that measures being taken to prevent virus should be continued. The panel has used computer models to map the epidemic stance.

The panel, headed by Professor M. Vidyasagar of IIT Hyderabad, said that measures being taken to prevent virus should be continued. Countrymen will have to follow all precautions like mask, social distancing, quarantine. The epidemic is also expected to be under control by February. But this will be possible only when people continue to fully follow the rules of protection against corona.

Active cases are getting less

Corona epidemic will be considered under control only if there are very few active cases left. The number of active cases in the country is continuously being seen. Which are getting good results. On September 17, there was a peak of 10.7 lakh active cases. After that once on September 26-27 saw a slight bounce. However, since then, increasingly active cases have come down. As of October 18, there were 7.83 lakh active cases in the country. The share of active cases in total cases is now only 10.45%. It has to be brought down to less than 1%. If this trend continues then the estimates of the government panel may prove to be correct.

No lockdown second time

The government panel says that there is no need to re-lockdown in the country. The panel says that the corona virus can be controlled by early next year if the corona guideline is followed well.
