New Delhi, ANI: The Indian government has once again launched a digital strike on China. According to sources, the Indian government will ban 54 Chinese apps that pose a threat to India’s security. According to ANI, these 54 Chinese apps include Beauty Camera: Sweet Selfie HD, Beauty Camera: Selfie Camera, Equalizer and Bass Booster, Camcard for Salesforce Ant, Isoland 2: Ashes of Time Light, Viva Video Editor, Tencent XRiver, AppLock and Includes dual space lights.

In fact, earlier in June last year, India had banned 59 Chinese mobile applications, including widely used social media platforms such as TikTok, WeChat and Helo, keeping in mind the threat to the country’s sovereignty and security. In the June 29 order, intelligence agencies had expressed concern about most of the banned apps, saying that users are collecting data and possibly even sending them outside.

Let us tell you that this action was taken by the Government of India against China after the martyrdom of 20 Indian soldiers. 20 soldiers were martyred in a violent clash in Galwan Valley of Eastern Ladakh. However, in September, the Indian government also banned 118 Chinese mobile apps. On behalf of the Government of India, it was said that these apps are harmful to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the defense of India, the security of the state and public order. At the same time, China had opposed the Indian government’s decision to ban the apps. China had said that this action is in violation of the non-discriminatory principles of the World Trade Organization.
